And finally, Bride’s mother herself, Sweetness, who takes a lifetime to come to understand that “what you do to children matters. And they might never forget.”

Not sure how I feel about this one. First Toni Morrison I  have ever read. It wasn't bad, but wasn't super stellar either. I read it easily enough, but I did put it down a few times. I think it's a cerebral book but it might have gone over my head.
