Ratings

This is my newest rating guide for you to understand my ratings. Enjoy!

NO FINS

This means that I did not finish or couldn't get into this book enough to read it. It means that I failed. It is the rarest rating I give because I always try to finish a book and if it gets this, it means I didn't or couldn't even do that.

HALF A FIN

This rating is saved for when I finished it, but barely made it and I have to give it a rating. Also pretty rare.

ONE FIN

Means I read it, but I am very close to saying I hated it. I don't like saying that, but there you go.

ONE AND A HALF FINS

This is a rating reserved for books with things I didn't like in it that I couldn't really give a fair rating because they had something I can't look past like animal abuse or whatnot.

TWO FINS

This just means I didn't like it. Doesn't mean per se that it is a bad book, just that it wasn't for me or something happened in it that killed it all for me.

TWO AND A HALF FINS

This rating means it was alright, but I wouldn't go so far as to say I liked it. I might have had issues with a character or writing style.

THREE FINS

This rating means that I liked it. It is very truly the middle of the road, and it is one of the most common ratings I would be giving.

THREE AND A HALF FINS

I liked this book a little more than just saying I liked it. It had something to it that impressed me or stood out enough to give it the half bump I gave it.

FOUR FINS

I really liked this book. It was one of the best things I've read in a long time and I really liked it. I would recommend it to people who ask about it or the author specifically.

FOUR AND A HALF FINS

This book was almost perfect, but fell just a little short. I would still recommend it to people who asked about it or were looking for a new book to read.

FIVE FINS

This book was as close to perfect as they come. I loved it SO much that I gave it this rarely given full rating. This is my highest praise and I hope I am not too loose with it.
